Minnie May became the wife of James R. Lee the 30th of August 1891 in Mills County. The couple made their home in Plattville township of Mills county where James farmed. The couple had five children, beginning with Elsie M born in 1892, James Mark, 1896, Mildred L. 1899, Gladys, 1901 and their youngest child William P. born in 1909 who was their only one to be born in Cass county, Nebraska, where the family lived for a time before returning to Mills county, Iowa.
In the 1925 Iowa State Census, James R. and Minnie May Lee, as well as their youngest son, William P., were residing in Plattville township of Mills county.
On the 26th of July 1927, Minnie May passed away in Glenwood, Mills county, Iowa. She was survived by her husband, James. She was buried in the Glenwood Cemetery.
