Born: Casey County KY 9 February 1840
Died Bristol (Ellis County) 19 December 1921

In March 1862 in Rockett (Ellis County) joined Capt. Frank Farrar's Company, Company H 18th TX Cavalry.
Sent to Dallas and became a part of Darnell's Regiment.
At Pine Bluff Arkansas, the greater part of the Regiment was captured and the rest became Co. D Charlie Morgan's Battalion.
He was also at Bank's Raid and Yellow Bayou.
Not sure of any other battles.
Sent home due to illness and was at home on furlough when the war ended.
According to records from the then War Dept. Adjutant General's Office: T.J. Mullican, private, Captain Farrar's Company, Darnell's Regiment Texas Volunteers (subsuquently Company H, 18th TX Cavalry and Company D Morgan's Regiment Texas Cavalry), CSA, enlisted 10 Feb 1862.

On muster roll for Sept. & Oct. 1863, last roll on file, he is reported present.
On his pension application there are two statements from fellow soldiers attesting to his having served and him being sent home on furlough due to illness.

He was married 3 times, 23 Oct 1861, 9 Sep 1869, 8 Sep 1887. A total of 18 children......
His first two wives died after they were married.

Married son of Tom Mullican of TN; died of dropsy on 20 December according to his death certificate.
