Private Company K 28th Consolidated Infantry CSA.
Fought at the battles of Shiloh,Fishing Creek,and Stones River.Captured and tormented with bayonets by Union soldiers,then tied to a tree and killed along with another fellow soldier Uriah R. Gillihan,who were on furolough.The bodies were discovered by Mr. Charles F. Burton,who wrapped the bodies in blankets and buried them.Mr. Burton had a rock wall built around the graves,which he kept clean and decorated with flowers for the remainder of his life.
