John Milton Daniel, 90, of Prescott, Arkansas, formerly of West Helena, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Prescott. Mr. Daniel was born August 29, 1922 at Prescott to the late John Wesley Daniel and the late Priscilla Odessa Bradford Daniel. He was a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Smith Daniel; a son, Dwayne Daniel (Jane) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; three daughters, Bonnie Smith (Johnny) of Lexa, Ann Billingsley (Bill) of Lexa, and Phyllis Summerhill (Charles) of Russellville, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Angie Stillwell, Kevin Smith, Allen Smith, Teresa Summerhill, Becky Catlett, Cindy Weatherford, Mikelann Steinbeck, Lore Fore, Melissa Kalinowski and Danny Billingsley; seventeen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Joyce Daniel; and grandchildren, Christopher Summerhill and Jerry Smith.
Services for John Daniel will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Fourth Street Baptist Church in West Helena. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Roller-Citizens. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Reverend Rodger Hooker will officiate.
Pallbearers are H.C. Everhart, Billy Everhart, Johnny Martin, Berry Spurgers, Harold Huff and Johnny Walker. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Grant, Kenneth Davis, Odell Cupples, Kevin Smith, Allen Smith, Danny Billingsley and Austin Stillwell.
