He was a retired Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, a retired employee of the PA Liquor Control Board, and a former employee of Villa Teresa Nursing Home.
Nicholas was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War
He was a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton and Past Commander and Life-Member of VFW Post 710.
Nicholas was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Conjar and David A. Kable.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-six years: Louise "Sis" Ward Conjar; eight children: Rosemary Conjar, Nick Conjar, Jr., Joe Conjar, Peggy Conjar, Lenni Conjar Elhajj, Ronda Conjar Putric, Rose Conjar Surfield, and Matt Conjar; eighteen grandchildren; twelce great- grandchildren; one brother: George Conjar; two sisters: Sister Catarin Conjar, IHM and Mary Vranich.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 12:00 Noon in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 815 S. Second St., Steelton. A viewing will be held on Friday from 09:30 AM until 11:30 AM in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St., Steelton.
Burial will be in Shoops Cemetery.
