She was preceded in death by Wesley Roberts, her eternal companion and loving husband of 64 years.
She is survived by her nine children: Jeaneen (Don) Sullivan, Rhea (Richard) Miner, Joe (Rhodonna) Roberts, Sally (Bill) Paxman, Judy (Rick) Salway, Ethel (Rodney) Warner, Frank (Winnie) Roberts, Fred (Mary) Roberts, and Russell (Laura) Roberts; 59 grandchildren; 147 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ethel "Dot" (Robert) Brown and Reva (Ray) Miller. They were also foster parents to numerous children.
Loanda was born in Meadow, Utah to Mary Ethel Bushnell and Harry Johnson. She was the sixth of nine children.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for which she and her husband served five missions. She served in many church callings and was actively engaged in family history work.
Loanda was home-made with love. Her many talents and generous spirit were manifested in the home she created, the friends she made and the family she raised. Her hands were never idle. She kept beautiful yards and gardens, canned countless amounts of food, and sewed and crocheted beautiful articles of clothing. She was involved in many community organizations and spent countless hours caring for those in need, young and old alike.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the L.D.S. chapel 661 S.W. 12th street in Ontario, Oregon with interment at Sunset Cemetery. A viewing will precede the funeral at noon.
Arrangements are under the direction of Haren Wood funeral chapel in Ontario.
