DEATHS

Died, in this city, June 17, 1894, Mrs. Lucy C., wife of Capt. John P. Ardinger, aged forty-two years.

Mrs. Ardinger was the daughter of R.J. and Mary C. Smith, and was born in this county, February 12, 1852. In 1873 she was married to Capt. J.P. Ardinger, who, with four daughters and two sons, is left to mourn her death.

Mrs. Ardinger was a noble woman, a true Christian, a faithful wife, a devoted mother. In all her actions she displayed a sincere character. She is dead now, and merited words of praise can not heal the wounds nor console the sorrowing hearts of those to whom she was dearest. But honest labors have their reward, and after having served the Heavenly Father well in this life He has called her to a home He has provided for those who love and serve Him.
