DEATH CLAIMS MRS. H.A. ROGERS
Funeral at 2 o'clock Last Saturday
From the M.E. Church
After eighty-four years of useful life, Mrs. Harriet A. Rogers of this place was claimed by death at the home of C.H. Merron on Court street Thursday evening.
Mrs. Rogers was born on July 22, 1837, in Whitefield, Maine. At the time of her death she was aged 84 years, 6 months and 16 days.
For a number of years past she had been an active participant in church affairs, being a prominent member of the Methodist church.
Her funeral was held from the Newcastle M.E. church last Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment took place in the Newcastle cemetery.
Deceased was the mother of Warren Rogers, who died about two years ago, the mother-in-law of Mrs. Minna Rogers and the grandmother of Mrs. Tom Crawford of Truckee.

With the 7/22/1836 birth and 4/7/1921 death, the online Age Calculator is off by exactly 2 months re her stated age of 84y 6m 17d in the obit. It is possible that the newspaper transcribed her months as 6m instead of 8m and that would solve the "age-doesn't-fit" problem.
