Henry A. Marin, a pioneer resident of Bemidji, died Sunday at Bemidji Hospital at the age of 85.

Marin was born Jan. 21, 1881 at Crookston, the son of Sam and Elmira Marin. He moved to Bemidji in 1898 and was married here on Oct 16, 1909 to Bertha Rude. His wife preceded him in death in 1959.

Marin was engaged in the transfer business for more than 40 years, retiring 20 years ago. Since the death of his wife, he has lived with his daughter Mrs. Hugh T. (Lillian) McCormick.

Also surviving are another daughter, Mrs. Charles Murdock (Vera) of Concord, Cal., a son Henry Jr. of Minneapolis, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Nels Jordan, Eugene, Ore., several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church. Rev. R. M. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. Visitation will be at the Olson f/unreal Home, which is in charge of funeral arrangements.
