Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Portales.

Mr. Aaron LaRue, 17, of Clovis, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, near Dora.

He was born on Jan. 18, 1987, in Portales, to Donna and Larry LaRue.

He has lived in the Arch community for the past 10 years. He attended school in Portales until high school. He was attending Dora High School. He remained here to finish high school when his mother and step-father moved to Tucson this summer. He had been living with his father in Clovis. He was a member of the Arch Baptist Church. In junior high he played football. In high school he was on the rodeo team and participated in roping events. He was active in FFA and was on the judging team. He was a member of 4-H and Youth Hunter Education Challenge. Family members said he liked to take horseback rides, cook, ranch rodeo and kneeboard and wakeboard at the lake.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Donna and Don Morgan of Tucson, Ariz., and his father, Larry LaRue of Clovis; three brothers, Ryan LaRue of Clovis, and Jerad and Tucker LaRue, both of Tucson, Ariz.; his grandparents, Darrell and Pat LaRue of Clovis, Paul and Louise Adams of Melrose, Ron and Jeannie Graham of Abilene, Texas, and Robert and Joyce Morgan of Clovis; s aunts and uncles, Paul and Fawna Adams of Houston, Brenda and Edward "Bev" Herndon of Amarillo, Heather LaRue of Clovis and Craig and Jana Graham of Tucson, Ariz.

The Rev. Tony Reynolds will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Cemetery in Clovis.

Pallbearers are Sterling and Tanner Miller, Bradley and Cody West, Ryan and Jerad LaRue, Jered Green, Clint Brakebill, and Travis Belcher.

Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Class of 2005 of Dora High School.

Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.
