Lucille Wooldridge Kelso, 75, died Monday, April 24, 1989 in Collingsworth General Hospital. She was a lifetime resident of Collingsworth County. Mrs. Kelso was born in the Lutie Community March 3, 1914, the daughter of William Bennett and Katherine Boone Bennett.

She graduated from Shamrock High School and attended Wichita Falls School of Business. She was a teller for First National Bank and later for Wellington. State Bank until 1975, when she retired to help her husband, Jimmie Kelso in the operation of Kelso Funeral Home. Mr. and Mrs. Kelso were married February 17, 1975 in Wellington.

She was a member of Wellington Business and Professional Women's Club, Samnorwood Home Demonstration Club, and Collingsworth County Recreational Vehicle Club. She was active in the Piddler's club and of two Forty Two clubs. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband, Jimmie Kelso of Wellington; three daughters, Saundra Ray of Denver, Colo., Mary Beth Fleming of Austin, and Anna Kay Lockridge of San Antonio; a brother, Herbert Bennett of Fritch; two sisters, Carrie Boykin of Childress and Ozette Rainey of Samnorwood; and seven grandchildren.
