Thomas F. De Castro, 91, of Scotch Plains died on Monday, February 19, at home.
Born in Newark, he had been a resident of Scotch Plains for many years.
Mr. De Castro had been employed for 46 years with the Sherwin Will- iams Company in Newark before retiring as Director in 1973.
During the early 1960s, he estab- lished and developed the company's Equal Opportunity Employment Commitment, which was widely cop- ied throughout the country.
He was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Margaret Stefanelli De Castro, in January of last year.
Surviving are a son, Thomas De Castro; a brother, Felix De Castro; two sisters, Elizabeth Fiducia and Mary De Castro; five grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass was offered on Thursday, February 22, at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Scotch Plains. Interment was at St. Gertrude's Cem-
etery in Colonia.
Arrangements were under the di-
rection of the Rossi Funeral Home in Scotch Plains.
