Sherman Shelby Spring, 78 of Midwest City, OK passed away on April 28, 2012. Sherman was born on April 8, 1934 in Wheeler, TX to Clarence and Vermell Spring. Sherman was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Midwest City. He enjoyed playing golf and cards, especially Pinochle, Spades and “3-13”. He also enjoyed garage sales and estate sales. Sherman heard his country’s call and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was awarded an Honorable Discharge for his services rendered to our great country. Sherman was an office manager and retired from Amis Construction Company after 30 years of service. Sherman’s first love was spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda of 55 years. He is survived by his two children, Rhonda McCaig and husband David of OKC, and Greg Spring and wife Kathy of Clarkston, WA; grandchildren, Jeremy Gorman and April Mosher; great grandchildren, Ethan Mosher, Owen Mosher and Coen Campbell; two brothers, Bud Spring and Ron Spring; sister, Diane Holt.
Funeral Services are 2:00PM, Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 9805 NE 10th, Midwest City. Interment will follow to Smith Cemetery in Moore, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel.
