This is my beautiful, smart, inspiring, and crazy grandmother. I miss her a lot everyday. She passed away from complications of Pick's Disease.

Marjorie or Marge as most people called her was born to Catherine and Harry Jonas on December 20, 1938 in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

She had one brother, Dennis.

She married Rodney James on June 8, 1957, but they later divorced in the mid-1980's.

They had 4 children together.

She later married Bruce Miller in the mid-1980's and they remained together until her death.

She had many grandchildren and had two great-grandchildren.

Her obituary from the La Crosse Tribune:

Marjorie L. James Miller, 73, of Janesville passed away Thursday afternoon, Sept. 20, 2012, at Azura Memory Care in Beloit, following a lengthy illness.

She was born Dec. 20, 1938, in La Crosse, the daughter of the late Harry & Catherine (Peterschmidt) Jonas. She attended school in La Crosse, and was a graduate of La Crosse Aquinas High School, class of 1956. She married Rodney "Jesse" James in 1957. She later married Bruce L. Miller on July 10, 1987 in Janesville.

Margie will be remembered by many as "The Maytag Lady", as she was the clerk and bookkeeper at the Janesville Maytag Store for many years. After her retirement, she and Bruce moved to Warrens and recently returned to Janesville. She was a courageous and strong-willed person, and showed everyone what grace and dignity she had during her illness. Margie was a woman with a great sense of humor, and also was very artistic. She was very talented at drawing, sketching, photography, and painting, and won several awards for her works at the annual Cranberry Festival in Warrens.

She also loved shooting, and won many awards in competition for .22 and .45 caliber handguns. She was a wonderful cook, who enjoyed preparing many meals for her family and friends. Traveling was a passion for Margie, and she and Bruce took many trips, most notably a rafting trip through the Grand Canyon, and also loved attending the EAA convention and shows in Oshkosh every year. Margie had a very soft side with animals, and always made sure the "critters" were fed around her home! Spending time with family meant the most to her, and she loved being with her grandchildren! She will be especially missed by her "Baby Girl", her dog and constant companion, Angel.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce; her four children, Randy (Michelle) James, of Woodburn, Ind., Terry (Patti) James, Daniel (Laura) James, and Laurie (David) Fredricks, all of Janesville; her brother, Dennis (Vicky) Jonas, of La Crosse; her eight grandchildren, Cory (Kallie) James, Nick James, Mackenzie (Chris) Ryan, Jennifer James, Salana Carson, Tyler James. Rachel Fredricks, and Eryn James; her two great-grandchildren, Cayden James and Serenity Koker; her two nephews, Todd and Brian Jonas; and by other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Whitcomb-Lynch-Albrecht Funeral Home, Janesville, with Fr. John Auby officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday afternoon from 1 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Margie's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the wonderful staffs of Azura Memory Care, Aspire, and LEEPS, for their care, compassion, and love shown to Margie and her family during this time.
