He married first to Maria/Marie Stuart Moffett Caldwell on 14 or 24 Oct 1894 and had 4 kids. Following her early death, he married second to Camille McCorkle and had a son.

More data plus the posted head shot of him are also in this source. By Eugene Fauntleroy Cordell's University of Maryland, 1807-1907: Its History, Influence ..., Volume 2, p 388-89.

His NC death certificate says he died 13 May 1921 in Concord, Cabarrus, NC., the son of Daniel G. Caldwell and Harriet Alexander.

Note: Ivy Betz Caldwell (1898 - 1965) is also in his plot. She was Dr. Caldwell's daughter in law, married to his only son, Dr. Daniel Greenlee Caldwell, died 1989.
