A. N. Eustace, a resident of the Masonic Home for the past six years was struck and instantly killed by a passing car on Highway 60 just east of the gates of the home Thursday afternoon June 24 about 5 o'clock.
The driver of the car, J. O. Garrison of Dallas rendered aid and reported to Justice of the Peace Powers. The accident was unavoidable and Garrison's report of the accident is that he was driving east on the Highway, making about 40 miles and when he was about 20 feet east of the gates he struck Mr. Eustace, and that he appeared to be running swiftly in front of his car. He also stated that witnesses of the accident told him that Mr. Eustace was walking on the side of the road going in the same direction as the car and ran directly in front of the car.
