Thelma Hitchcox Cantrell, 74, of Waverly, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 21, 1995, at O.S.U Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born September 06. 1920, in Johnson Co., to the late Johnnie and Mollie Hitchcox. Preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Cantrell, in 1972. Mrs. Cantrell was a housewife and mother and a member of the Oil Springs United Baptist Church. Surviving are six sons, Don Cantrell, of Beaver Ohio, Gene Cantrell of Gary Indiana, Danny Cantrell, of Chillicothe, Ohio, Jimmy Cantrell of Stockdale, Ohio, Johnny Cantrell of Givens, Ohio and Harry Cantrell of Beaver; two daughters, Margie Dawson of Beaver, and Marlene Stevison of Jackson, Ohio; one granddaughter. Services were held Saturday, June 24, at the Beaver Valley United Baptist Church with Elder Corbitt Jenkins officiating. Burial was in Beaver Union with arrangements under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Beaver.
