Lillie I. Poore, 69, died Nov. 28, 2006 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born May 6, 1937, in Monticello, Ky., the daughter of William and Edna (Wright) West. She has lived her adult life in Anderson as a homemaker. She enjoyed country music, loved being around her grandchildren and watching her son's race at the Anderson Speedway. She had been affiliated with the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Anderson.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard Poore of Anderson; children, Sandra Lynn (husband Mitchell) Shaw of Monticello Ky., Wayne (wife Patricia) Young of Anderson, Denton (wife Lesley) Poore of Anderson, Michael (wife Rose) Costa of Farmington NM and Delinda Costa of Greensboro NC; thirteen grandchildren, Sharla (husband Donnie) Akin, Jessica (husband Scott) Niccum, Amber Purnell, Heather Young, Michelle Purnell, Melissa (husband Jake) Bliss, Rodney (fiancée Liz) Poore, Jonathon (fiancée Heather) Poore, Joshua Poore, all of Anderson, Jason Shaw of South Bend, Dustin Shaw of Monticello Ky, Wayne Costa and Michael Costa of Farmington NM; great grandchildren, Sierra, Dru, Jasmine, Kay-Leigh, Sarah, Christopher, Dillyn, Matthew, Nathan, Jada, Jordan, Andrew and two to arrive soon, Trent and Lillian; A brother and three sisters, James West, Lida Stevenson, Minnie Walters all of Tenn., and Ida Gibson of Muncie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, great grandchildren, Dalton Bliss and Jacob Young; a brother, Ray West and sisters, Luria Luttrell, Donna Morgan, Ola Abner, Lola Walters, Willie Gibson, and Pearl Carroll.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Brown Butz Diedring Funeral Home, Anderson with the Rev. Danny St. Clair officiating. Burial will be at the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
