DEATH OF A CHILD
Young Son Of Treasurer Clore Succumbs To Spinal Meningitis

Master Alonzo Frank Clore, 8 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Irving Clore, of near Dunavant, Spotsylvania county, succumbed to spinal meningitis at Mary Washington Hospital in this city Saturday at 11 a. m., expiring two hours after admission to the institution. The youth had been ill about three weeks. Mr. Clore, his father, is the newly elected treasurer of Spotsylvania County. Surviving him are his parents and five brothers and sisters. The child's remains were removed to the home near Dunavant on Saturday afternoon. Funeral Sunday Afternoon.

The following IN MEMORIAM was placed in the Free Lance Star later.
In sad but loving remembrance of
Our dear son, Alonzo Franklin Clore,
Who left this world one month ago.

Just one month ago
Death came to our door,
And took our darling son to rest
With Jesus, who knows best.

The day was bright, but all was sad,
Earth was sorrowing, yet all of heaven
was glad.
Franklin, dear, how we miss you,
More than words can express,
But some sweet day we hop to meet
you,
And in our arms clasp.

Safe in the arms of Jesus,
Safe from corroding care,
Safe from the world's temptation,
Sin cannot harm you there.

By his loving Mother and Father.
(Mr. and Mrs. I. C. Clore)
