Warren K. Titus, 90, passed from this life to his eternal reward Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012. Funeral: 10:45 a.m. Friday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 10 to 10:45 a.m. Friday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Warren was born Feb. 22, 1922, in Fort Worth to Lester and Margie Titus. After graduating from Paschal High School, he went to Aircraft Maintenance School in San Antonio. He then joined the Air Force in July 1943 and received training at the Royal Air Force Technical School in England. He served as an airplane engine repairman in the European theater of operations in France and England, returning home in December 1945. In 1949 he married Anna Britt, helping her raise her three children as his own. He was a man of character and gave sacrificially to his wife and children all the days of his life. He faced adversity with courage and never gave up, always maintaining a good, positive attitude. He never met a stranger, always having a kind word for everyone he came in contact with. He gave his family a good example to follow. He spent his last years at Lakewood Village Christian Care Center, where he had many friends. He was a member of Lakewood Village Church of Christ, where he attended faithfully. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Anna Titus, and stepson, Billy Don Britt. Survivors: Son, Warren Titus Jr. and wife, Pat, of San Antonio; stepson, Dean Britt of Weatherford; stepdaughter, JoAnn Sharbine and husband, Bill; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
