A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen's Church. The Rev. Eugene Radosevich, pastor of the church, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be sons: Stephen and Anton Centko; a nephew: Edward Pillash; and a great-nephew: Eric Pillash. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters: Claire and Mary Centko. Organist Sharon Hatzer will accompany Margaret Mary Yuhas. Several appropriate selections will be sung. Visitation will be 9-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Hagi Funeral Home.
She was born April 14, 1921 in Highland Park, a daughter of John and Hilda (Hellstrom) Larson. She married Anthony J. Centko on July 2, 1949 in Highland Park. He died October 30, 2000.
Her mother was one of the last people to board a life raft during the sinking of the Titanic.
Surviving are sons: Stephen A. Centko and Anton J. (Fawn) Centko, both of Streator; a daughter: Mary Ellen Patterson of Kangley; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She attended Highland Park grade schools and Highland Park high school.
She had been employed at Westside Cleaners.
She was a member of St. Stephen's Church.
