Michael Charles Guillory, Sr. passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the age of 61. Beloved husband of Gina Holmes Hawkins Guillory. Father of Kayce, Michael (Mikey), Scott, Tina and Ryan Guillory. Stepfather of Craig, and Ashley Hawkins. Grandfather of Brady Cronin, Cole, Cade and Arabella Guillory. Son of the late Sicily Hooter Guillory and Lee Leo Guillory. Son-in-law of Rosalie Cuccio Holmes. Michael attended Archbishop Rummel High School and graduated from East Jefferson High School in 1967. After, he graduated from Loyola University where he received his Master's in Criminal Justice in 2003. Also, he graduated in the 205th Class of the F.B.I. National Academy in Quantico, VA in 2001. From 1972 - 1980, Michael served as police officer with the Baton Rouge Police Department. Then in 1980 he joined the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office and retired in 2005. Since 2005, Michael worked with the New Orleans Police Department as a Detective in the Homicide Division. Relatives and friends of the family and also employees of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, New Orleans Police Department and the Baton Rouge Police Department are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 12:00 noon.
