Melford Bagby, North Second Street, Greensburg, died March 12 [1973] at 8:00 a.m. at the Jane Todd Memorial Hospital. He was 77. Mr. Bagby was born in Green County, September 1, 1895. He was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter: Mrs. Martha Lobb, Kenney, Ill.; two sons: Lindell Bagby, Underwood, Ind., and Truman Bagby, Campbellsville; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, at the Foster Jones Funeral Home by Rev. Eutra Hammett and Rev. Gene Weddle with burial in Greasy Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers: Volin, Russell, James, Robert, Jimmie and Gary Bagby
