He was born on March 5, 1948 in Rhode Island and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Larry served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War in Korea. He retired after 37 years of service as an AT&T Repairman. He was a past Commander of the VFW Post #266, member of the Anderson 40/8 and Chesterfield American Legion #408.
Larry is survived by his children, Angela Dawn (boyfriend-Jean-Luc Cattet) Merchiers of Speedway, IN, Chad Gullett of Anderson, IN; step-daughter, Jamie (Todd) Smith of Anderson; mother, Patricia (Strong) Gullett; siblings, Sherry (Tom) Weaver, Julia (Charlie) Eltzroth and David (Peggy) Gullett. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Kyle Canatsey, Alexandre and Chloe Merchiers, Raven Gullett, Ryme Gullett, and Korey, Zoey and Ayden Smith, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Gullett, who passed away in February; father, Woodford Gullett, and brother, Doug Gullett.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, IN. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Klinger officiating. Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery with military rites by the VFW Post #266.
