Mrs. Lela Mae Bagby, age 84, of 106 Riverview Ave. in Greensburg departed this life on Tuesday, 4 Sept. at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Green Co. on 14 Nov 1905 to the late Felix Acree and Ida Bell Landis Acree. She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Robert Schmidt and Mrs. Eugene Mosz of Chicago; 5 sons: James W. Bagby and Ellis Bagby of Greensburg, Ropert Bagby and Junior Bagby of Campbellsville, Judge Vernon E. Bagby of Greensburg; 1 sister, Mayvis Kelly of Greensburg; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She had made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services were held on Thursday, 6 Sept at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with burial in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Bro. Wilburn Bonta officiated over the service with music provided by Betty Jo Larimore.
Pallbearers were James A. Kelly, Larry Bagby, Jackie Bagby;, Troy McCubbins, Robert Bagby and Robert Erhardt.
