Irene Ballard, 86, died Thursday (April 3, 1997) at her residence. She was a native of Lincoln County and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Jean Ballard and Annie Lou Ballard, both of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Sunday at Gallant Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Shady Grove Cemetery.
