Daughter of Thomas Gooch and Martha Edwards.

Mary Ann married Joseph Walker Leader, on 9 January, 1854, in Blenheim, Oxford, Ontario.

She as the mother of 10 children: Henry Thomas, Sarah Eliza, Joseph Edward, Emma Jane, Noah Rouse, Samuel John, Issac William, Robert Walker, Richard Good, and Frederick James Leader.

After Joseph's death, Mary Ann lived with her children; Henry, Robert and Emma Jane. She later moved to Elma where she lived with her daughter Emma Jane after her marriage to Conrad Heller.

She died 14 Nov, 1925, in Elma, Perch, Ontario, Canada, and was buried at Plattsville Cemetery, Blenheim, Oxford, Ontario.

Died age 90y. 6m, 22d. Buried 16 November, 1925

Died At West Monkton, Ontario, on Saturday morning, November 14th, 1925, Mary A. Leader Relict of the late Joseph W. Leader in her 91st year. The Funeral Will meet at the Methodist Church, Plattsville, on Monday, November 16th, at 2 o'clock, p.m. Interment in Plattsville Cemetery. Friends and acquaintances will please accept this intimation to attend.
