Hon. Ernest Gary (Dr. Franklin Fincher ? Dr. Thyomas Feeder ? Jesse ? Esq. Thomas ? Charles 1) was born in Cokesbury, S. C. , Jan. 29, 1857. He Served several years as a Representative to the State Legislature and was chairman of the Judiciary committee of the House of Representatives. He was a Presidential Elector-at-Large in 1892 and served as Circuit Judge of South Carolina from 1892 till his death which occurred in Columbia, S. C., June 30, 1914. He married Eliza Rhett, grandaughter of Hon. Robert W. Barnwell, United States Senator from South Carolina, Confederate States Senator and President of the South Carolina College, and also a descendant of the Illistrious Rhett family, that has played so conspicuous a part in the public affairs of South Carolina. No issue.
