On 27 April 1929, Simon married Esther Marie Blanchard at St. Paul Catholic Church in Manitowoc, WI. Born 21 June 1909 in Two Rivers, WI; Esther was the oldest of five children (three daughters & two sons) born to William John & Emma M. (Nemetz) Blanchard.
