Beloved Father, Grandfather and Husband, Grant Gordon Muhlestein died peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on the evening of September 20, 2012.

Grant was born March 6, 1947 in Provo Utah to Grant Tell and Marie Phillips Muhlestein. He married his childhood sweetheart Carolyn Chase on August 15, 1969 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they raised 8 beautiful children: Tammy, Matthew, Clint, Benjamin, Michelle, Jamie, Jenny and Christian.

Grant was a devoted Father and husband. He was dutiful in supporting a large family, and would not hesitate in putting in long hours. This was a pattern he continued up until his passing. Grant loved his wife, children and his Lord Jesus Christ. Family was his life.

Then on February 16, 2009 his beloved sweetheart, Carolyn, passed away of complications due to Alzhiemers. Later, on January 28, 2010 Grant was remarried to Carol Kay Johnson. They have shared a wonderful companionship together. Carol was an angel as she cared for Grant during his challenges with cancer.

Grant is survived by his wife Carol Muhlestein, his brother Martel Muhlestein, and his sister Jan Dearing, 8 children and 63 grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Thursday, September 27, 2012, from 6-9 p.m. and Friday, September 28, 2012 from 10-11:30a.m. at the Cascade 2nd Ward LDS Chapel located on 481 East Center St. in Orem. The funeral will be at 12:00 noon at the Cascade 2nd Ward LDS Chapel. Following the funeral an Interment will be held at the Orem City Cemetery.
