Manford L. Hudson
Age 88, of Laurel, Delaware, passed away on September 23, 2012 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
Manford was born in Frankford, DE a son of the late Charles and Sarah Hudson. Mr. Hudson retired from Southern States in Laurel, and was also a farmer for most of his life. Manford graduated from Laurel High School where he played on the football team. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Laurel.
Mr. Hudson is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jane Gray Hudson; a daughter, Rachael Vaughn and husband Carl of Brentwood, TN; his siblings, Earl Hudson and wife Faye of Delmar, Darwin Hudson and wife Betty of Laurel, Norris Hudson and wife Jean of Laurel, Hope Huey and husband Gene of Bridgeville; two grandchildren; Addison and Clark Vaughn. Several nieces and nephews also survive him. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Hilda Tscahiya, Julian Hudson, Vera Hearn and Alan Hudson.
A Funeral Service will be held at Laurel Church of Christ at 1010 South Central Ave, Laurel, DE 19956 on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 2:00 pm, were a viewing will also be held from 12-2:00 pm. The Pastors Ian Drucker and Wayne Mathis will officiate. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Laurel.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Laurel Church of Christ, 1010 S. Cental Ave. Laurel, DE 19956, care of the missions fund.
