Emmett Irving Bowler, 69, of Fredericksburg died Thursday, May 23, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in Westmoreland County, Mr. Bowler has retired as a mechanical supervisor from Virginia Power after 32 years. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and a Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Elizabeth Lunsford Bowler; a daughter, Sue Ann Bowler of Fredericksburg; a sister, Annie B. Marders of San Diego, California; and three grandchildren. He was also the father of the late Kathy B Anglin.
A funeral will be held at 11 am Saturday at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Home. The Reverend David F Russell will officiate, and burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be William Garnett, Charles Burton, Lewis Allen, Wilbur Bowler, Jr, Russell Marders and Walter Mallory.
