Former Dairy Farmer
William H. Griffin, 79, 505 E. 9th st., died Sunday at his home after a lengthy illness.

Born in Maryland, he had lived in Chester and vicinity for a number of years. He had been a dairy farmer in Maryland, and he held several positions after coming here. He was a watchman at Ewing-Thomas Co. until his retirement a few years ago.

Mr. Griffin was a member of the Fraternal Order of Orioles, Chester Nest 159, and an honorary member of Shepherds of Bethlehem No. 4.

Surviving are his wife, Sara T. Culin Griffin; five children, LeRoy W. Griffin, Woodlyn; Mrs. Myrtle Griffin, Cape May, N. J.; Mrs. Jean Schmucker, Philadelphia; Mrs. Louise Daugherty, 912 Morton av., and Mrs. Sara E. Boyd, 23 E. 7th st., and 13 grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 at the Herbert T. Quinn funeral home, 516 E. 9th st. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday evening.
