HEBER RAY MARTIN, LONGTIME RESIDENT OF AMITY, PASSES
Funeral services were held today in the Amity Christian church for Heber Ray Martin, long time resident of Amity, who died suddenly at his home Tuesday. He was 66 years old.
Mr. Martin was born Nov. 2, 1872 at Amity, the son of John and Christian Martin. He married Serena Martin in 1893 at Whiteson and the couple had made their home since that time near Amity.
Surviving are Mrs. Martin, one son, Carl R. Martin, Portland; two daughters, Mar. Clyde Gibbs, Dallas; and Mrs. Elwood Cooper, Salem; one brother, Ira L. Martin, Portland, and three sisters, Mrs. Kate Weston, Amity; Miss Ethel Martin, Portland and Mrs. Lenna Harrison, Amity.
Interment was in the Amity cemetery.
