Tom was born December 30, 1955 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Thomas L. Simms, Sr. and Dorothy Hudson Simms. A 1974 graduate of Northside High School, Tom was a Flight Engineer for over twenty years and was currently employed at Robins Air Force Base as an Aircraft Mechanic with the C-130 Group supporting the warfighters. He was a former City Councilman and International City Civitan President, as well as a huge supporter of the local Vietnam Vets and the Warner Robins Little League. Tom was also a member of Southside Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lisa of thirty years, daughter of Howard and Carolyn Kitchens; two sisters, Terry A. Moore (Mark) and Jane E. Simms; one nephew, Bubba Bernard (Jessica); one niece Stacie English Halpin (Sean); two great nieces, Alyssa and Taylor; and one great nephew, Sheldon.
