Born in Miami County, Jan. 23, 1928, to John L. and Joy Lorena MURPHY CONNER, he married H. Jean FELLER Dec. 1, 1946 in Santa Fe, Ind. She survives.
Mr. Conner ws a chemist at Laketon Asphalt Refinery for 30 years and retired from Pike Lumber, Akron. He also worked part-time at Viking Foods, Akron. He was a member of the Manitou Moose, Rochester, Akron United Methodist Church and the Classic Dance Club, Warsaw.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy SIMONSEN, Akron; two sons, Rod and wife Angela [CONNER], Warsaw, and Dean and wife Lorraine [CONNER], Kankakee, Ill; four granddaughters, Ashley and husband Matt SUTTER, Alisha and husband Jeff COBY, Leah CONNER and Shelby SIMONSEN; four great-grandchildren, Nicholas [SUTTER], Nathan [SUTTER] and Alexa SUTTER and Madeline COY; one sister, Doris BALLEE MURPHY, Kokomo. Preceding in death was one son, John E. [CONNER], 1968.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Rev. Steven HAIFLICH officiating. Burial is at Akron Cemetery.
