Miss Emma Adkins, age 48, died at 5:30 December 26, 1969 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. She was born in Adair Co. April 29, 1921. Miss Adkins is survived by 4 brothers: Frank & Raymond Adkins of Greensburg; Edwin Adkins, Martinsville, IN and Flem Adkins Jr., Louisville, KY; 2 sisters: Mrs. Irene Oaks, Martinsville, IN and Mrs. Christine Moran, Greensburg. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 27, 1969 at the Foster-Jones Funeral with burial in the Elmore Family Cemetery. Rev. J.B. Rott and Rev. W.A. Peck officiated. Pallbearers were James Adkins, Jimmie Elmore, Woodson Sidebottom, Junior Sidebottom, Eugene Wilson and James Keltner.
