Albert was the youngest of four children born to Ebenezer Mann, Sr. and Alma Josselyn. Both his parents were from Pembroke, Massachusetts. Their first two sons, Ebenezer Jr. and Isaiah Henry, were born there. In 1818 Ebenezer relocated to Leeds. About 1830, after a 14-year gap, Ebenezer and Alma had a third child, Lois, who died in infancy. Albert was born in 1833. The gap in births of children might indicate that resettling in Leeds had brought hardship.

So Albert grew up as a much younger sibling. He lived with his parents until their deaths, and then assumed the family farm.

The Manns lived on what today is Churchill Road, north of Anson Road. The farmhouse has been recently renovated.

In 1864 he married Polly Coburn Keene, the childless widow of William Henry Fuller. Their only child, Isaiah was born when Polly was 43. And so like Albert, Isaiah, grew up in a household of mostly adults. At one point the household included Albert's aging parents, Albert's 64-year-old bachelor brother Isaiah, and well as Polly's widowed mother Sarah Keene.

Albert's obituary said he had been in usually good health until a few weeks before his death, when he developed heart trouble. He died in his home.

Note: Albert's sister Lois is listed on this monument. However she has a separate stone in a different part of this cemetery, with slightly different dates.
