Son of John Thomas Dunham (abt 1850- abt 1879) & Jane Elizabeth Reid (1848-1913). Thomas Newton Dunham was the 5th of 6 known children born of their marriage. After Newt's death, his mother Jane Elizabeth Reid-Dunham married James Thomas Stamps and is buried in Waelder Cemetery with double headstone by her 2nd husband. We have not yet located his father's burial, but my family records indicate he was buried in Thompsonville Cemetery (Gonzales county) but have not located it.
Thomas Newton "Nute" Dunham married Celia (aka Selah aka Selia) Frances Lehmann; they had one daughter Irene (whom was reportedly an adopted daughter; this daughter's husband was the informant on Newt's TX DC; Irene Dunham 1st married to William Glenn Blackmon and informant was W G Blackmon, assumed to be Irene's husband). After Newt's death, Celia remarried to a William Henry Owens (no known children born of Celia's 2nd marriage). Celia was my grand aunt, a daughter of my great grandparents (Celia was the 1st born child of 8 children born to my great grandparents): Johann Maximilian "Max" Lehmann & Sarah Ann Miller-Wallace Lehmann (a widow of Mathew Alexander Wallace when she married Max). Celia also had two 1/2 brothers from her mother's first marriage.

Texas Death Certificate shows death year as 1937 and stamped recorded in 1937; Texas Death Index shows death year 1936; Headstone shows death year 1936). I have used the TX DC year of 1937 because it has an official recorded stamp on it, but he may have died in 1936 and this TX DC may have been updated/replaced in 1937 (not sure).
There is a discrepancy in month/day/year on TX DC and TX Index and the headstone (which has death year different than TX DC). Notice that TX DC pic posted appears to have had another certificate # and scratched out with a new one?
