Mr. Michael E. Colen, 60, Vevay, IN., passed away at 5:50 AM, Thursday, December 4th, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center, Edgewood KY. Michael was born in Milan, IN on October 11, 1948, the son of the late Ora Ross and Goldie (Bradley) Colen. He was employed at Seagram's Distillery in Lawrenceburg, IN and graduated from Rising Sun High School in 1966.
Michael is survived by a daughter, Deanna wife of Tom Buder of Milan, IN; a son, Jody Colen & fiancee Lisa Theetge of Rising Sun, IN. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren; Kyla Rashell Colen & Gunnar Michael Colen; two sisters, Hilda Bovard of Lawrenceburg, IN; , Shirley Koons of Hartford, IN. four brothers, James Colen of Canaan, IN; , Hubert Colen of Fairview, IN; , Jerry Colen of Hartford, IN; , Gerald (Swede) Colen of Markland, IN. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and by brothers, Ora (Oop) Colen and Paul (Ned) Colen and by a sister, Ruth Stem.
Funeral Service at Markland Funeral Home, Rising Sun, IN, at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 8th, with Rev. John Hundley officiating. Friends are invited to call Sunday 5-8 PM. at Markland Funeral Home.
