You might want to add the following to your listing for A.P. Wilcox in Evergreen Cemetery in Los Angeles:

Abraham Paul Wilcox (born Nov 1858, in Raisinville Twp., Monroe County, Michigan), his wife, Geneva (Oldham)(Lewis) Wilcox (born 1861 in Indiana), and their two year old son, Paul Lashera Wilcox (born July 1899 in Los Angeles), were allegedly murdered by her former husband, David C. "Bud" Lewis, on November 17, 1901. Bud Lewis had just recently been released from jail for stealing a horse and had threatened to kill anyone who might marry his former wife. He supposedly carried out his threat with the aid and support of his mother who lived near the Wilcox ranch in Downey.

If you would like more information, please let me know, and I'll send it to you. There was an inquest and the L.A. County Sheriff assumed that Bud was the murderer, but there is no known record as to whether he was ever convicted of the crime.

A.P. Wilcox is my first cousin, 3 times removed.
