Michael Owen Parker was born on December 2, 1958 to Owen and Florence Parker. He was their fourth son. Mike was born and raised in the Detroit area until the family moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 1974. MIke attended Myrtle Beach High School and graduated in June 1977.
Mike loved living by the beach. In his spare time he enjoyed surfing and loved just being at the beach in the sun. He married Pam in 1986, and in 1991 they had a daughter, Tayler.
We lost Mike suddenly one morning due to a siezure when he was only 38 years old. The siezure was related to a head injury he suffered several years before when he stopped to help a stranded motorist. It was a set-up, he was attacked and left for dead. We were never able to bring these criminals to trail.
I am Mikes neice, but we were close enough in age, along with my brother, that we were raised more like siblings as he was just 6 when I was born. Mike was an awsome person that all us kids loved and looked up to. He was fun, funny, charming, and just the coolest! He is missed so much by the whole family, and I feel like I lost my brother.
