Dea. Nathan Douglas[son of Caleb], born in Whitestown, NY, July 22, 1799. He married, March 8, 1824, Frances SMITH, of Whitestown. In September of that same year they removed to Troy, Mich., where they remained for forty years. In 1864 he sold his farm in Troy, and removed to Otisco, to live with his second son, William. He remained here till the time of his death, Dec. 6, 1874, having celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of his wedding the 8th of March previous. Mrs. DOUGLAS still ('77) lives with a daughter, near Pewamo.
Mr. DOUGLAS, at about 17 years of age, untied with the Baptist church in Whitestown, of which his father, the Rev. Caleb DOUGLAS, was then pastor. He, with his wife, were constituent members of the Troy (Mich) Baptist church, being dismissed for the purpose from the Pontiac church, with which they first united on removing to Michigan. He was a liberal contributor to the support of the gospel in his own locality, and to missionary work, and was for many years a deacon of the church in Troy. On his removal to Otisco, he united with the Baptist church there. Mrs. DOUGLAS is now the last surviving constituent member of the church in Troy.
