Mr. DOUGLAS, at about 17 years of age, untied with the Baptist church in Whitestown, of which his father, the Rev. Caleb DOUGLAS, was then pastor. He, with his wife, were constituent members of the Troy (Mich) Baptist church, being dismissed for the purpose from the Pontiac church, with which they first united on removing to Michigan. He was a liberal contributor to the support of the gospel in his own locality, and to missionary work, and was for many years a deacon of the church in Troy. On his removal to Otisco, he united with the Baptist church there. Mrs. DOUGLAS is now the last surviving constituent member of the church in Troy.
