Beatrice W. Dunn, 64, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, November 30, 2008, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 13, 1944, in Freeburg, Mo., the daughter of the late William and Johanna Marie Wieberg Patten.

A 1962 graduate of Westphalia High School, she later received an Associate of Arts degree in Business. She retired in 1999 as Securities Examiner for the Missouri Secretary of State where she had been employed for many years. Beatrice enjoyed reading, gardening, and yard work, but most especially her family.

Survivors include: one daughter, Amy Dunn, Jefferson City; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Brian and Cindy Patten, Pittsburgh, Penn.; and William Dunn, Jefferson City; six grandchildren, Matthew Patten, Nathaniel Patten, Lucas Patten, Joshua Patten, and Emily Patten, all of Pittsburgh, Penn.; and Nicholas Patten and his wife, Charissa, of Yakima, Wash.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Helen and Henry Weed, Freeburg, Mo.; and Arline Frie, Phoenix, Ariz.; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Raymond Patten, Freeburg, Mo.; and Alvin and Sandy Patten, Vienna, Mo. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Jane Bonney; and one brother, Donald Patten.

Public funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2008, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Dr. Rudolph Beard officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Private family visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
