Eva Mary Evans
Eva Mary Evans, 83, formerly of 421 S. Ashby, died late Thursday at Neosho Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Shaw, the daughter of John and Orpha Cline. She married James M. Evans Feb. 26, 1913, in Iola. He died April 28, 1959.
A lifelong resident of the Chanute area, she was a member of the First Christian Church, the Queen Esther Class and the World War I Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, James G. Evans, Tulsa, Okla., a brother, W.T. Cline, Rt. 4; a sister, Edna Robbins, Yates Center.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Johnson Chapel, with the Rev. E.E. Bridwell officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family suggests contributions in her name to the memorial fund at the First Christian Church.
