Michael A. Stetson, 23, of Menchalville (Route 2, Cato) died unexpectedly early Saturday morning, Nov. 28, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.
Funeral services will be 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at Saur Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Alfred A. Schneider will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Stetson was born Aug. 20, 1958, in the Town of Kossuth, son of Arlin and Evelyn Grusznski Stetson. He was a graduate of Valders High School with the Class of 1977. He married Dorothy Kanter Sept. 24, 1977, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville. The couple lived in Menchalville. Mr. Stetson was employed at Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry, Manitowoc. He was an active member of the Menchalville Fire Department, a member of WFLA Lodge No. 221 of Menchalville and Aluminum Workers Local No. 125 of Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Austin at home; his father and stepmother, Arlin and Viola Stetson of Menchalville; his mother, Evelyn Stetson of Route 1, Reedsville; a brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Debbie Stetson of Menchalville; three stepbrothers, Wayne Petska of Manitowoc, Alan Petska of Kellnersville and Jerry Petska of Menchalville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Kanter of Reedsville; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Edna Grusznski of Green Bay; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles and many friends.
Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, after 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday until the time of services. Wake service 7:30 p.m. Monday by Msgr. Schneider.
