J. E. Voice died on Friday and was buried on Monday. He was about 73 years old and left a wife and seven daughters, all of whom are well known here.

They are Mrs. B. A. Gault, Mrs. H. L. Martin of Oregon City, Mrs. Charles Crimp, Mrs. A. W. Yocum, Mrs. Fred Sprouse, Mrs. Carrie Kenny, and Mrs. J. Y. Edwards. Mr. Voice was a veteran of the Civil War and a member of the G. A. R.

John E. Voice, was an early-day resident of the Malaga country, having located there about the year 1888. For years prior to that time, he had been a resident of Kittitas Valley, and after a few years of ranching near Malaga, he returned to Kittitas Valley and established himself in Ellensburg.
