Mrs. Daisy Inscoe Williams, 78, died early Saturday in the Carolina Resthome where she had lived for
several years. She lived all of her life in the Durham area. She was a member of the Edgemont Baptist
Church and taught in the Edgemont Sunday School for about 25 years.
Her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the church by the Rev. Norman E. Gossett. Burial will be
in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Surviving are her husband, Hallcot H. Williams of Chapel Hill; one daughter, Mrs. Vivian W. Melvin of
Durham; two sons, Andrew C. Williams of Garner and Vern Williams of Washington D.C; one sister,
Mrs. Doza Daniel of Greenville S.C.; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Thomas J. Inscoe, Conway Harris, C. Wallace Inscoe, Wallace Reid Inscoe,
Jack Inscoe, and Tommy Blackley.
