Raymond F. “Raymie” Sweezy, 58, of Contoocook, N.H., died Tuesday, October 5, 2004 in the Manchester VA Medical Center.

Mr. Sweezy was born in Derry, N.H. on August 10, 1946, a son of Agnes (Beaudon) Sweezy and the late Raymond C. Sweezy. Prior to his recent move to Contoocook, he was a resident of Thomasboro, IL for 11 years, formerly living in Derry, NH. Raymie served in the US Army from 1966-1967 during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a truck driver. He was a member of the VFW Post 1617 of Derry where he was also a Past Commander. He was also a member of the American Legion Post # 81 in Contoocook..

In addition to his mother of Manchester, he is also survived by two daughters, Kirra L. Martin and her husband Keith of Contoocook, Renee Sweezy of Manchester, five grandchildren, Mathew, Tiffanie, Shawn, Carl and Randy, one brother, Richard Shorey of Hudson, two sisters, Nancy Rollins of Manchester, Elaine Noble of Derry, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by his two brothers, Carl Sweezy and Lenny Shorey.
