Williams – Gerald L. Williams, Sr., age 77, of Starke, Florida passed away September 22, 2011 at North Florida Regional Medical Center with family by his side. He was born in Fort White, FL on November 27, 1933 to the late Henry O. Williams and Thelma Phillips Williams. Gerald has been a long time member of Madison Street Baptist Church. He was a devoted choir member, Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher. Gerald served in the United States Naval Reserve. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce F. Williams of Starke, FL; children, Jerry (Sandra) Williams of Starke, FL, Randy (Ruth Ann) Williams of Ashland City, TN, and Chris (Lisa) Williams of Eufala, AL; brothers, David, Jimmy, and Donald Williams; sister, Emma Jean Perry; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held Sunday September 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Madison Street Baptist Church with Brother Charles Warren officiating. Interment will be held at Eliam Baptist Church Cemetery at a later time. The family will receive friends Sunday September 25, 2011 immediately following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Madison Street Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements are under the care and direction of ARCHIE TANNER FUNERAL SERVICES, Starke, FL.
